When I first got to Korea and was crammed into this tiny apartment, I was told it would be temporary. A month or two became three, three became six...but here I am, nearing the end of my seventh month still looking at the same walls. That will change soon though; I will finally be moving at the end of the week.
My new place is, honestly, about four times bigger than my current apartment. It also has air conditioning, and just in time- the past few weeks have really been hot. These facts are enough to alleviate any guilt that I feel by taking it. See, I'm taking the apartment of a teacher who is leaving, while the new teacher coming in is going to be taking my old haunt. I feel a little bad about that, but seniority has got to be worth something, and, amazingly, at the end of the week I'll be the most senior member of the foreign teaching staff at my school.
So I've got that going for me, which is nice.
That is nice. I sent out that card a few days back. Let me know when you get it. I want to make sure it gets to you and not someone like your supervisor. I know they are prolly strict there and I don't need your tiny ass going to prison, or being forced to fight on the front lines of the soon to be war with the North.
