nonfluent

There have been a few instances since I started this blog when I poked fun at Korea's not quite fluent grasp of the English language. These instances have taken the form of curious paragraphs written by students, strange phrases on t-shirts, or bizarre things written on school supplies. This post is more of that.

First, a "paragraph" written by a student, whose unfortunate misspelling of the word "Coke" lent an entirely different meaning to what his favorite thing to drink is:

My favorite thing to drink is Cock. First, Cock is delicious. Also, Cock is sweet. Last, I love Cock. That is why Cock is my favorite thing to drink.

Hey, at least he really nailed those transition words.

One more. It's a case for students to put their eating utensils in when they go to school. I have nothing else to add other than that I didn't actually take this picture, rather a friend did. Credit where credit is due, and all that.

Maybe someday, because of the tireless efforts of people like me, these regrettable idiosyncrasies will be a thing of the past. I sure hope not, but good on 'em for trying.
