bang for my buck

You'll be interested to know that this year, much like last year, I'm getting bang for my buck when it comes to medical insurance.

Last week I came down with a bad cold. I saw Dr. Spaceman again, and he gave me medicine. He also noticed that I had a really swollen lymph node. He sent me to see a specialist about that, and I've been seeing this new doctor for about a week now. My cold has cleared up, but my lymph node is still swollen. So I'm still having to see a doctor every couple of days. I'm going again tomorrow.

Tonight, after I work, I stopped by the grocery store to get some dinner. I also bought a nice, sharp, new kitchen knife. When I got home, whilst trying to open the plastic packaging the knife was in, I sliced up my hand quite good, right around where my thumb joint is on my left hand. After futilely trying to stem the bleeding for a few minutes, I called the girlfriend and told her she had to take me to the emergency room. She rushed over and took me in. I got a bunch of stitches (first time in my life I've gotten stitches!) and a tetanus shot in my ass.

Now, tomorrow morning I have to go to two separate clinics to see two different doctors. One for my lymph node, and another to have my wound cleaned and dressed again. I am a walking medical emergency.

    1. I can't believe I forgot that you had a similar injury. Mine's not as bad as yours was though, and it's more on my palm. Yours was between your thumb and index finger, right?. Still, I guess we're like brothers now.
