I have a 4 day weekend right now, due to the Korean Thanksgiving Day, called Chuseok. I think it's pretty much the biggest holiday in Korea. Most businesses are closed, including restaraunts, for a couple of days. I didn't realize that people get that serious about it, and I'm ill prepared to deal with it. What I'm trying to say is that I don't have any food.
That's not entirely true. On Wednesday, my last day of work before the holiday, all the teachers at my school were given a gift. On my desk was a decorated box inside a little carrying case, the contents of which I had no idea. If I were to have guessed what was inside, I'd have probably said some soaps or candles or something, since the packaging led itself to that kind of aesthetic theme. I'd have been way off.
I popped it out of its carrying case and opened the box to find: 3 cans of spam, 6 cans of tuna, 2 bottles of canola oil.
Happy Chuseok!
nothing better than spam for the holidays
