Today is my birthday. I'm now 26 years old, and thereby, as my father would no doubt remind me, beginning my 27th trip around the sun.

I had a pretty wild 26th year. I spent the bulk of it on a completely different side of the Earth, and one of the two people directly responsible for my life passed away. Busy busy busy.

I'd imagine that when I'm older I'll think back to that 26th trip around the sun and see it as particularly important; for better or worse I don't know yet.
