Hello friends. As is wont to happen, I've gone too long without posting. It's time to play catch up.
I've entered full-fledged I-hate-my-job mode. Dear me, how I hate it so. It's hard to pinpoint exactly why I hate it, it's just become one of those things that annoys you for no reason. Or maybe it's every reason. I can't wait to be done with it. It feels like a prison sentence. I'm 7 weeks away from being released back into society.
I had a little half-vacation last week. See, I may have mentioned that my job sucks, and part of my reason for feeling that way is because they mangled my vacation. I was supposed to have an entire week off, but they split it up so that I had 3 days last week, and I'll get 2 more next week.
Last week I went to a beach on Korea's east coast. It was much nicer than the west coach beaches. It was also the first time I'd taken a swim in the Pacific Ocean. I never would've thought I'd be swimming on this side of it. It was clean.
Next week, for the second half of my vacation, I'll be going to Jeju. Again. This will be the 3rd time I've been there, which is a lot even for a Korean. This time I'll be accompanied by Koreans, specifically the girlfriend and her brother, and his wife and 1 year old daughter. I guess it will be fun.
At the end of September comes Chuseok, that wonderful Korean Thanksgiving when I get a couple days off work. I've just made a plan to go to Japan with some pals. It will only be for 2 days, and it's gonna coast me a mint, but on the other hand, it's Japan. Osaka, to be exact.
A week before that trip I'll be spending another small fortune. I'm getting Lasik eye surgery. I can't wait. My eyesight has gotten noticeably worse this year; even with glasses on, or contact lenses in, I can't see well. Like I said, it's pricey, but here I'll be paying about half of what I would to have it done in the States.
That last sentence sounds poorly phrased to me, or awkwardly worded, or something. So does that one. I'll stop now.
