lull

Hey.


I haven't written in a while. I can't chalk this fact up to one thing in particular. Sometimes there's just a lull in things to write about.

Tonight I went out with my coworkers. My coworkers consist of 4 Korean women. Now, I've never had a real job in the States, but I'd imagine that if I were to go out with 4 female American coworkers, things might be a bit dull for me. Compound that with the fact that I don't speak the same language as my coworkers here, and, well, you can imagine just how dull it was.

Here's how it went down. We all went to a restaurant/bar. We sat at a booth. My coworkers chatted with each other, while I sat and watched a TV that was mounted on the wall. The TV played music videos of Korean pop songs. This is one aspect of Korean culture that I haven't devoted much time to. But to be honest, you can comprehend just how jejune and soulless Korean pop music is simply by watching this video:

So, I sat there watching this shit and drinking beers while my coworkers got drunk at a much quicker pace than me. I kept thinking that after I finished the beer I had in front of me they might let me go. However, after I finished each beer, they insisted on ordering me another one. As a result. I drank twice as much beer as they did, and now I'm actually kinda drunk.

I'm going to go to bed.
