chuseok (2)

Loyal readers (which is, I dunno, 6 of you) may remember a post from last year called "Chuseok". It detailed the gift I was given from my then employer on the occasion of the Korean Thanksgiving, called Chuseok. Well, Chuseok came and went last week.

Just to refresh, last year for Chuseok I was given an ornately packaged set of 3 cans of Spam, 6 cans of tuna fish, and 2 bottles of canola oil. It did not get much use.

This year my gift wasn't as wondrously bizarre, but is still odd compared to western standards: I got me some Japanese sponge cake and a yellow melon the size of an infant's head.

Happy Chuseok!
