The Journey to the East will be returning soon! In two weeks or so your humble narrator will be heading back to South Korea for another go round. A new school, new students, and a new city (Gwangju) await. So how about a recap of season 1:

Things started out rough for your humble narrator. Doubt and insecurity were evident from the get go as he tried to get his feet under him. Readers were soon made aware of the most exemplary of students, most notably Tupac. There was also a vacation to Jeju island in there somewhere, and before long your humble narrator was settled.

Six months or so went by.

He went back to Jeju island.

Um...there was something about an eclipse in there somewhere I think.

And then! Tragedy struck your humble narrator, and his journey to the east was put on hold for two weeks. But he soldiered on and returned to South Korea to finish out his 1 year contract.

Wow. Comedy, tragedy, suspense, someone named Tupac...all the makings for a great story.
