two things

First, Koreans are insane. I walked into school today and what did I see? My school has installed dispensers of hand sanitizer in the main area. This is to protect the students from the teacher who recently visited America, and now most certainly has swine flu. To be honest, I don't know for sure if I'm the reason why they did this, but the timing is certainly curious.

Second, many months ago I published here a paragraph written by a student. It was about machines and how this student didn't trust them because, if I remember correctly, they have knives and are reproachful. Well, I haven't taught this student in about six months, but this week I got him back in one of my classes. I was curious to see if he'd lost his magic tough of writing awesomely bizarre paragraphs. This is what he handed in today:

I believe in alien, because many people saw UFO in the world. I will go to space. I want to see aliens. In comic books, they look like octopus. Sometimes, strange people say "I speak to alien." I think it is lies, because aliens are very smart than people. Aliens are very interesting.

The kid's still got it!

The best part is that I'm not assigning these topics, which means this is just shit that he thinks about. It's a rare chance to get a glimpse at his peculiar mind, because he's the kind of kid who doesn't say a word, and probably wouldn't even if I offered him a dollar for every syllable.
